We’re kicking off our Student of the Month program with Marguerite DeRosa, who is currently working towards her Masters in Mental Health Counseling through BGSP-NJ, as well as her Certificate in Psychoanalysis here at ACAP! Marguerite is a licensed art therapist who began coming to ACAP for Continuing Education Credits, but was also searching for a community and place for both professional and personal growth. Our second Student of the Month is Ron Dranetz, who is participating in the BGSP-NJ* Masters in Mental Health Counseling program. Coming to ACAP marked the beginning of a career change for Ron, who had been working as an IT professional. Nearing the end of his MAMHC requirements, Ron says he is feeling increasingly confident in his decision to pursue a career in counseling, and has found a truly welcoming, nurturing community here at ACAP. Our third Student of the Month is Huda Shanawani, who is participating in the certificate program at ACAP. As an immigrant from Syria, it is her goal to work with other immigrants, and help them deal with the conflict and stresses of war, just as ACAP has helped her. Watch the video below to learn about her journey.

Our fourth Student of the Month is Kelly Horan, who completed the Masters in Psychoanalysis in 2010 through BGSP-NJ*, and at the time of this interview, is working on a Masters in Mental Health Counseling.
