During this difficult and stressful time, it is particularly important for those in need to have a place to reach out for help. ACAP has always services anyone in need in spite of their financial situation, but this year it is more difficult than ever to achieve due to social stressors. May have experienced job loss, job interruption, social impacts of COVID-19 and other adversities. SafetyNet will help to fill the gap through no-fee treatment to those who may be uninsured, underinsured and have few financial resources.
SafetyNet is a service program operated by ACAP and an extension of ACAP’s North Jersey Consultation Center (NJCC.) The service providers for SafetyNet are interns in the fieldwork experience at ACAP and ICPS. SafetyNet offers no-fee treatment to anyone in need.
Many of our interns are presently working in the mental health field or are in the process of attaining their Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. All of our fieldwork interns are under the supervision of a certified psychoanalyst from ACAP.
